Adithya returns with his latest single, “Signal Collapse.”
The high-energy Tech Trance track combines fast-paced Techno elements with the melodic drive of Trance.
To explore the inspiration behind the track, we spoke with Adithya about the story behind “Signal Collapse” and his evolving approach to production.
Adithya Returns to High-Energy Trance
Adithya created “Signal Collapse” after noticing that high-BPM singles seemed to be losing popularity in Indonesia’s electronic music scene.
When he returned to the underground scene in 2024, however, he discovered that some artists were still playing faster music.
The experience made him realize that he had not explored that side of his sound enough.
“Signal Collapse” became an opportunity to push further into that territory.
Adithya Bridges Techno and Trance
The title “Signal Collapse” reflects the meeting point between two genres: Techno and Trance.
Adithya combines the fast-paced energy of Techno with the characteristics of Trance to create a sound that represents both styles.
Compared with his previous releases, the track also pushes his Techno elements further.
“I’ve never made a single with Techno elements this fast and bold before. When I returned to Trance, I still kept the fast-paced Techno elements in my sound,” Adithya added.
A Three-Day Production Process
Adithya produced “Signal Collapse” while continuing to work full time.
He usually works on music after office hours or during his days off, a routine that has resulted in a large collection of sounds and ideas.
“I’m not a professional arranger or anything. When I’m at home, I try to come up with as many notes and melodies as possible,” said Adithya
Some of these sounds become references for future projects, while others eventually enter his archive when they no longer fit his musical direction.
His growing exposure to different genres and sounds also means that ideas created earlier can sometimes feel less relevant later.
As a result, completing a single can often take considerable time. “Signal Collapse,” however, came together much faster.
Adithya completed the track in just three days.
His family happened to be away on vacation, giving him a quiet environment to focus entirely on exploring melodies and musical ideas.
The track also went through only minimal revisions after he submitted it to Nocturnal Knights.
That helped make the production and release process relatively quick.

Adithya Draws From Tech Trance Pioneers
David Forbes and Mark Sherry served as major inspirations for “Signal Collapse.”
Both producers are known for their signature Tech Trance sound, particularly their catchy hooks and distinctive production styles.
“I like the way Mark Sherry incorporates acid sounds into his tracks, while David Forbes is one of my references when it comes to composition and adding groove to my music,” said Adithya
His ongoing exploration of music while performing has also helped expand his references.
Playing different sounds in various settings continues to influence how he approaches production.
A New Chapter for Adithya
“Signal Collapse” could become the starting point for a broader Tech Trance project.
Adithya has already secured a contract for a second single, which is scheduled to arrive in the coming months.
The upcoming release will continue in the Tech Trance direction.
At the same time, he has been exploring Classic Trance and Uplifting Trance, with projects already in progress with other labels.
Even within those releases, he plans to retain elements of Techno in his sound.
Dark Atmosphere, High Energy, Pounding Rhythms
Adithya describes “Signal Collapse” in three words: Dark Atmosphere, High Energy, Pounding Rhythms.
He first tested the track with an audience in Kuala Lumpur during the Kuala Lumpur Trance Gathering.
The response gave him confidence that the track could connect with listeners.
For Adithya, the biggest hope is simple.
“I hope people enjoy the track and that some DJs will play it in their sets. At the very least, I’d love for it to become part of people’s everyday playlists,” said Adithya
For Adithya, hearing an audience recognize the track when he plays it live would be an especially rewarding moment.
