According to Boniex, vocalist of for Revenge, the song tells the story of someone longing for a figure who has been absent from their life.

However, a closer look at the lyrics reveals a deeper narrative.

One about mental struggles, loneliness, depression, and the pain of feeling invisible to others.

The idea to bring both bands together came from Boniex himself, who had been thinking about it for a while.

Collaboration Story of for Revenge & Stand Here Alone

He shared that their frequent encounters on stage and previous collaborations at off-air events inspired him to take the idea further by writing a song together.

While for Revenge has collaborated with solo artists before, this marks their first time teaming up with another band.

Boniex described it as both a challenge and a refreshing experience, especially since they co-wrote the track and aimed to transport listeners back to the early 2000s when both bands were just starting out.

Both bands agreed to stay open-minded and set aside egos, resulting in a harmonious partnership.

Despite their genre differences, Mbenk believed some parts of the song carried the vibrant energy that defines Stand Here Alone.

He pointed out that while the song leans toward for Revenge’s signature dark themes and emotional lyrics, it still maintains a strong pop-punk spirit through its tempo, dynamics, and vocal character.

This contrast, he said, creates a unique dual flavor that they’re proud of.
