
On March 12, 2019, we attended the press conference of IAM DJ Hunt 2019 at Hotel Veranda.
This year marks the fifth edition of the competition.
Just like in previous years, IAM DJ Hunt takes its journey across Indonesia to discover new DJ talent.
The tour kicked off in Surabaya earlier this month and will continue to Yogyakarta, Balikpapan, Bali, Batam, Medan, Banjarmasin, Bandung, Palembang, and Semarang.
It will reaching its final stop in Jakarta for the grand finale.
Every Saturday and Sunday, contestants will showcase their skills and battle for a spot in the finals.
For 2019, the competition introduces two categories: CDJ (Battle) and Controller (Club Mix).
Alongside the competition, each city stop will feature workshops in collaboration with Pioneer DJ Indonesia.
These sessions give contestants valuable opportunities to expand their knowledge, sharpen their skills, and connect with fellow DJs.
The winners in each category will not only receive DJ equipment.
They will represent Indonesia in the regional championship, competing against top DJs from Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia.
IAM DJ Hunt 2019 opens its doors to everyone, with no age restrictions.
Every participant has the freedom to perform, express their creativity, and showcase their personal style.
The press conference wrapped up with performances from last year’s champions.
Kevin Adam, the 2018 IAM DJ Hunt International Champion, and Lionel, the 2018 Indonesia Champion, energized the crowd with their sets.
Organizers hinted that this year could be someone else’s turn to rise.
