Making Waves Vol. 4 is back!

The electronic dance music (EDM) scene continues to thrive globally — and Indonesia is no exception. As the industry expands, platforms like Indonesia Dance Chart (IDC) actively support local talent.

Through its weekly chart program and annual IDC Awards, IDC shines a spotlight on the nation’s producers.

Another key initiative is Making Waves. It is an annual compilation album featuring the top 10 tracks from the Indonesian dance scene.

It was selected based on chart performance.

IDC launched its first compilation, Making Waves Vol. 1, in 2021, marking the beginning of this celebratory tradition.

Since its inception, IDC has brought together standout EDM producers across genres to represent the best of the Indonesian scene.

Over the first three volumes, the compilations have featured an impressive roster, including Aga Ramlan, Drewhite, Jawzcirclesix, Shinichii, Lavinski, Fake Face, Rocking Rush, Astasura, and many others.

These names have helped shape and elevate the profile of Indonesian EDM.

Now in 2025, IDC celebrates its fourth anniversary by collaborating with YHV Records to launch Making Waves Vol. 4.

This year’s selection includes ten standout tracks from producers:

  • SLFPRJCTN
  • Xservm
  • Maxx Rodwell
  • Dav X Jaybag
  • Zproject
  • Saint Xavio
  • ARA
  • Saxhir & MJ-013
  • Hen Febian
  • GEETHAX.

Notably, all selected tracks, along with their cover artworks and producers’ names, have also been nominated for IDC Awards 2025 — showcasing the compilation’s role in spotlighting award-worthy talent.

Our personal favorite, Move That by Saxhir & MJ-013. We already anticipate that the drop will sound a bit Middle Eastern sound.

However, the bass caught us off guard. Really made our shoulder move a bit following the song.

Making Waves Vol. 4 is now available for purchase on Beatport and streaming on Spotify.

As Indonesia’s EDM landscape grows, it’s time to turn up the volume and rally behind local producers ready to make waves on the global stage.
