Maor Levi returns with a bold new release, the six-track Reflect Reliquified / Illumina Reliquified EP.

Through this project, he pairs two of his most celebrated early works with fresh liquid drum and bass interpretations.

The EP also includes extended versions, offering listeners a deeper and more immersive experience.

As a long-standing figure in electronic music, Levi first gained attention at the age of 15 with his debut track Lital.

Over time, he grew from a teenage prodigy into a versatile producer known for shaping progressive trance and related genres.

In addition, his sound became recognizable for its energetic mix of emotional atmospheres and modern, edgy textures.

For more than two decades, he has remained a key part of the Anjunabeats family.

Earlier in his career, he also made a strong impression on Anjunadeep with the original releases of Reflect and Illumina in 2007.

With this latest EP, Levi reaches a meaningful full-circle moment.

New Touch from Maor Levi

He revisits those cult favorites and reshapes them through a contemporary lens.

As a result, the music blends his trance foundations with elements of drum and bass and UK garage, creating a sound that feels both familiar and new.

This release follows several major career milestones.

Recently, Levi collaborated with Ilan Bluestone and Emma Hewitt as part of the trance project Elysian.

Moreover, his busy 2025 touring schedule included co-hosting Group Therapy Radio 636.

As he moves toward 2026, he shows no signs of slowing down.

Instead, he keeps blending nostalgic melodies with forward-thinking production.

This balance between past and future defines his current sound.

At the same time, it strengthens his reputation as an artist who refuses to stay in one lane.

Rather than repeating old formulas, he continues to push beyond his comfort zone and evolve with intention.

When comparing the tracks, the difference between past and present is clear.

Back in 2007, the original versions stood out for their deep and warm character.

They carried a rich atmosphere that felt intimate and immersive.

However, time has brought change.

By 2026, nearly two decades of advances in studio technology have reshaped the production landscape.

As a result, the new versions benefit from sharper detail, cleaner mixes, and a more refined sonic depth.

The earlier productions relied on analog-style plucks and long reverb tails, which defined many mid-2000s Anjunadeep releases.

In contrast, the new “Reliquified” versions sound sharper and more detailed.

New Transformation from Old Tracks

Levi has explained that these tracks are not simple remixes but complete transformations.

He broke down the original ideas and rebuilt them into darker and more aggressive forms.

Throughout the EP, a darker atmosphere slowly unfolds.

Listeners can clearly hear influences rooted in underground sound culture.

Subtle textured crackle weaves through the background, while faint creaking effects add tension and depth.

In addition, heavily processed vocal fragments drift in and out of the mix.

Rather than sounding purely melodic, these vocals feel distant and haunting, giving the project a more mysterious edge.

The production also features richer percussion, shimmering pad layers, and a stronger focus on sub-bass.

In Reflect Reliquified, the iconic melody remains intact.

However, it now floats above a deep and vibrating rhythmic foundation.

Meanwhile, Illumina Reliquified thrives on contrast, combining bright lead synths with sharp and distorted bass hits.

This balance preserves the emotional core of the original while adapting it for late-night club settings.

Overall, Reflect Reliquified / Illumina Reliquified is not a simple nod to the past.

Instead, it is a full transformation that reflects Maor Levi’s artistic growth.

He starts by breaking these fan favorites down to their core.

Then, he rebuilds them as modern drum and bass tracks with renewed energy and precision.

Through this process, the release finds a natural home within the Anjunabeats catalog.

At the same time, it clearly shows how far his sound has evolved over the years.
