
Martin Garrix has released a new single titled Catharina, marking a major step in his career.
For the first time, he performs solo vocals on his own track.
He dropped the single through his label, STMPD RCRDS, while also using it to preview his upcoming album.
He plans to release the project in the first half of 2026.
In the lead-up to the release, Garrix teased the track on social media.
During that period, he revealed that he spent more than a year refining the song.
He also shared that he felt both proud and nervous about singing on the record, showing how personal the project has become.
Alongside the single, he released an official music video.

The visuals feature scenes shot in Madeira and Amsterdam.
In addition, the video includes footage from his childhood, adding a more intimate layer to the release.
Before this track, Garrix only contributed vocals in collaborations.
One notable example includes his work with Arijit Singh on Angels For Each Other in 2025.
With Catharina, he steps forward as a solo vocalist for the first time.
Earlier this year, Garrix also shared plans for his upcoming Americas tour.
He invited local DJs to apply for opening slots, offering new talent a chance to perform alongside him.
In addition, he confirmed a 2026 residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza, continuing to expand his global presence.
