Sisca Saras is no stranger to Indonesia’s music scene.
After graduating from the idol group JKT48 in 2023, she wasted no time diving back into her passion, music.
Since joining WeCord Evermore Indonesia, she has released three singles.
The latest, “Tak Berakhir Sama”, dropped last February in a heartfelt ballad style. But Sisca didn’t stop there.
She saw potential for a new direction, which led to the release of a Retro version of the same song this July.

New Interpretation from Sisca Saras
Sisca explained that the Retro version began as a short clip she created with Gery Gani.
When they heard how good it sounded, they decided to turn it into a full-length song.
Since the original used a ballad arrangement, they had to make some changes.
Sisca shared that they used different instruments and chord progressions to capture the Retro mood they were aiming for.
Recording Tak Berakhir Sama in a new style gave Sisca a fresh experience.
She expressed how happy she felt to reinterpret one of her own songs.
The original version already sounded great, but she believed the Retro arrangement fit the song well too.
However, she admitted that changing the genre brought new challenges.
While she was used to singing in a slow and emotional tone, this new version required a lighter and more flowing vocal delivery.

Won an Award
Although Sisca only recently joined WeCord Evermore Indonesia, many now recognize her as one of the country’s most promising young soloists.
On June 17, 2025, she won the Most Popular Newcomer award at the SCTV Music Awards.
It was her first major win in the music industry.
Sisca described the award as unexpected and meaningful, saying it marked her serious commitment to music.
She hoped that moving forward, people would come to know her through her songs and creations.
This July release isn’t the only surprise Sisca has in store.

Upcoming Release from Sisca Saras
She is also preparing to launch a brand-new single titled “Orang Biasa”, a duet with rising star Aziz Hedra, scheduled for release in August.
The song was written by the renowned trio Laleilmanino, and Sisca said this collaboration had long been one of her biggest dreams.
She felt grateful when Iman Abdullah, A&R of WeCord Evermore Indonesia, suggested the idea and made it happen.
Sisca shared that working with Laleilmanino and Aziz taught her valuable lessons.
From Laleilmanino, she learned to stay committed and focused during the songwriting process.
Unlike her usual method of stepping away when stuck, the trio keeps digging until they find the right direction.
That inspired her to develop more passion and persistence in creating music.
As for Aziz, she learned how to sing in harmony with a partner. She added that despite his shy nature, Aziz made the collaboration fun and smooth.
Returning to the Retro version of Tak Berakhir Sama, Sisca hoped the new sound would attract listeners who may not usually enjoy ballads.
She wished that people who discover the Retro version would also be curious enough to listen to the original.
Now available on all digital music platforms, Tak Berakhir Sama (Retro Version) invites everyone to experience a fresh side of Sisca Saras.
