Billkiss bassist and songwriter Helvi Eriyanti has spent years building the band’s journey.
Now she brings that story into literature through her book, “BILLKISS: Cerita #1 — Dari Nol Sampai Bunyi.”
H.Y.D.R.A. published the 102-page book. Pre-orders opened on August 10, 2026, priced at Rp70,000.
The book traces Billkiss’s journey from its earliest roots as Bilqis.
It covers member changes, the challenges of producing music, the pandemic, and loss, before finally leading to the band’s debut album, “Cerita #1.”
Helvi says she originally wrote the book simply to document Billkiss’s journey.
Once she finished writing, she realized just how far the band had come, and how many experiences and lessons the story held, not only for her but for anyone who reads it.
More Than Just a Band Story
According to Helvi, “Dari Nol Sampai Bunyi” captures Billkiss’s path. It starts from a time when they had no released work at all.
It ends with them finally holding a completed album in their hands.
She describes the title as a literal reflection of that arc: Billkiss started with nothing, and ended up with an album.
The book goes beyond the music and the stage.
It covers what happened behind the scenes too. Rehearsals, disagreements, and limitations.
Member changes, loss, exhaustion, and doubt. And through all of it, the decision to keep going anyway.
H.Y.D.R.A. sees that as one of the book’s core strengths.

Billkiss Loses a Member Before the Jakarta Fair Stage
One of the book’s more emotional sections covers Billkiss facing a lineup change.
In 2025, Billkiss guitarist Qpot decided to step down, just days before the band’s main stage performance at Jakarta Fair 2025.
For Helvi, that shift became part of the journey rather than a setback.
She says people coming and going is normal, and that it’s fine, as long as the band stays focused on its original goal.
After continuing on with just Maulin, Helvi actually felt the process grow lighter.
She recalls holding onto her original goal, wanting Billkiss to have an album.
Once the band moved forward as a duo, she found the path forward felt easier, not harder.
That path eventually led them to finish their debut album, “Cerita #1,” one of Billkiss’s biggest achievements.
A Musician Steps Into the World of Literature
Publishing this book also marks a new step for Helvi, expanding the mediums she works in.
She has spent her career as a musician, bassist, and songwriter.
Now she wants to use writing as another way to share her experiences and create impact.
She explains that she wants to contribute to the world of literature.
Music and songwriting have carried her work so far, and now she’s trying to tell stories through books instead.
She wants her work to be read as well as heard, and to give something back to the people who experience it.
For Helvi, music and literature share common ground. Both function as mediums for telling stories and influencing others.
Because of that, she hopes “BILLKISS: Cerita #1” becomes more than a documentation of a band’s journey.
She sees it as the start of her own ongoing path into literature.
Everyone Has Their Own Billkiss
Helvi hopes readers can find pieces of their own journey inside the book.
She says falling down is fine, as long as you get back up afterward, keep walking, write another song, and release it again.
She also wants the book to remind anyone chasing a dream that a long process doesn’t mean the effort was wasted.
To put it simply: if you keep walking, you’ll reach your destination.
Helvi points to her own proof, that she made it, that Billkiss found its sound, and calls that achievement worth something.
H.Y.D.R.A., meanwhile, hopes readers won’t see Billkiss only through what happens on stage.
The publisher notes that a song carries so much that never reaches the listener’s ears: the rehearsals, the failures, the losses, the exhaustion, the hard decisions, and the courage it takes to start again.
This book marks only the first chapter of a journey that’s still unfolding.
After “Cerita #1,” Helvi and Billkiss have already begun preparing what comes next: a second album, a second book, and new work still to come.
