One of Jakarta’s most anticipated music events, Festival de Mayo, returns this year to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
The celebration will take place on June 1, 2025, at 5 PM WIB at Glitz Inclusive, Kuningan City, Jakarta.
This year’s event promises a nostalgic journey and a vibrant reunion for Britpop and indie music fans from the 90s.
It will also feature artists who helped shape the identity of Festival de Mayo in past editions.

From a Birthday Party to a Beloved Music Festival
Originally starting as a small birthday gathering, Festival de Mayo has grown into a medium-scale music festival recognized by Jakarta’s indie music community.
Over the past decade, it has welcomed notable acts like PestolAer, Pure Saturday, Aqua (Bilal Indrajaya and friends), The Upstairs, and many others.

Festival De Mayo for Honoring the Poster Café Era
This year’s theme, “The Return to Poster Café Era,” pays tribute to the golden days of Jakarta’s indie scene — a time marked by passion, unity, and groundbreaking sounds.

A Special Tribute to Ricky Siahaan
One of the festival’s most heartfelt moments will come from Chapter 69, featuring Desta and Dr. Iyeb, former members of Club 80’s.
Their performance will serve as a tribute to the late Ricky Siahaan, the group’s guitarist and a prominent figure in Jakarta’s indie movement during the Poster Café era.
Festival co-founders Thakis and Rimang shared their excitement about reaching this milestone.
They admitted they never expected the festival to grow this far and expressed gratitude for the ongoing support.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate it every year and hope everyone shares in the same joy,” they reflected.
