Drum and Bass culture in Indonesia wouldn’t be the same without Javabass and their signature event, Phunktion.
Phunktion has become a landmark in the scene, often referred to as “Indonesia’s Longest Running Drum N Bass Night.”
In fact, the event has won Best Serial Event at the Paranoia Awards 2012.
For over 25 years, Javabass has built a strong connection between clubs, fans (known as Junglistas) and the wider EDM industry through this long-running series.

On July 26, 2025, Phunktion #177 took over Dragon House, and this time the night carried something extra special.
As part of the launch of the Homegrown compilation, Javabass invited standout guests from the compilation lineup.
Among them were Sick Zombies and a rising talent, T.U.N.E.
Of course, Javabass’s core team also joined the celebration: DJ OSGD, Muztang, Jerome, MC Tatahir, Too Shy MC, and visual artist VJ Adi Blak.
The night opened with a performance by T.U.N.E., the Drum N Bass alter ego of Theo.
As a young talent with a passion for the genre, she set the mood perfectly.
Later, Sick Zombies (made up of Bukie, Sickozee, and Keezxm) took the stage.
They ignited the room with high-energy beats.
Notably, this trio represented Indonesia at Tomorrowland last year, a clear sign of their international caliber.
