MAXI MERAKI Reimagines Monolink’s “In My Place”

MAXI MERAKI opens a new chapter in the journey of Monolink’s third studio album, The Beauty Of It All.

Following the album’s strong reception since its release in September, Embassy One now presents his remix of In My Place.

Through this reinterpretation, the Belgian producer adds his own perspective to one of the album’s most emotional tracks.

At the same time, he preserves the raw spirit of the original. He then guides the song toward a deeper, more club-ready sound.

Monolink originally created In My Place during a spontaneous synth session with producer Toby Siebert.

They captured most of the track in a single take, which gave the song its honest energy and warm analog feel.

Pulsing rhythms, restrained vocals, and a warped central riff helped the track stand out.

Over time, it became a fan favorite and a key moment in shaping the album’s emotional identity.

In his remix, MAXI MERAKI transforms that raw foundation into a more expansive and atmospheric experience.

He carefully plays with groove and space to strengthen the emotional impact while increasing the track’s club appeal.

Rolling percussion, evolving bass layers, and bold synth lines add movement and lift.

At the same time, Monolink’s vocals sit more freely within a wider sonic space.

As a result, the remix feels both intimate and cinematic, staying true to the original while clearly reflecting MERAKI’s emotional style.
