On 7 November 2018, Hardrock FM and ICEPERIENCE.ID hosted the Paranoia Awards 2018 at The Pallas, Jakarta.
The event marked the 15th edition of what many call the most prestigious dance music awards in Indonesia.
The night brought together key figures from the country’s electronic dance music (EDM) community and featured live sets from Dipha Barus, Weird Genius, Jevin Julian, CYDA, Roni Joni, and Fun On A Weekend.
This year, the award carried the theme Dance, Party, Unity.
Diopsaputra from ICEPERIENCE.ID explained that the organization aimed to support the Indonesian dance music industry by embracing every genre and recognizing the people who work hard to push the scene forward.
Producer Soenan Silalahi emphasized that the community should remember it belongs to one big family and that unity matters more than unhealthy competition.
The award process began on 1 August 2018 with a one-month submission period that collected over 200 entries across multiple categories.
Organizers announced the nominees during FINALICE on 1 September 2018.
Fans then voted until 25 October 2018, narrowing the competition to the top three in each category.
Finally, a panel of judges decided the winners.
