Pee Wee Gaskins have entered a new chapter in their music career after signing with WeCord Evermore.
The band wasted no time after joining their new label.
Each member brought their own role and energy into the project.
Alditsa “Dochi” Sadega handled the bass, guitar, and vocals.
Muhammad Fauzan “Sansan” Santoso carried the guitar and vocals.
Harry “Ayi” Pramahardhika supported with guitar, bass, and backing vocals.
Reza “Omo” Satiri filled the sound with synth, keys, samples, guitar, and vocals.
Meanwhile, Renaldy “Aldy” Prasetya drove the rhythm on drums.
Together, they decided to move forward with a new release.
This time, they continued the journey from their earlier mini album Salute to the 90’s.
The new project, titled Salute from Pee Wee Gaskins: Putar Waktu Kembali, reimagines five iconic songs that defined their era:
- Piknik 72 (Naif), released August 29
- Terbang (Gigi), released September 5
- Aku Ingin (/Rif), released September 12
- Bermimpi (Base Jam), released September 19
- Konservatif (The Adams), released September 26

A Tribute from Pee Wee Gaskins
According to Ayi, the band saw this EP as a continuation of their 2018 project Salute to the 90’s.
However, this time they decided not to limit themselves to one decade.
Instead, they treated it as a broader tribute to the bands they had admired and grown up listening to.
The five tracks were chosen collectively by all members, with additional input from the WeCord Evermore team.
The process of making the EP took only about six weeks, but it still came with challenges.
Omo explained that, although production moved quickly, the song selection was not always easy.
Some tracks they initially wanted to include could not be cleared for licensing, so they had to find alternatives.
Aldy added that the collaboration with WeCord made the process smoother.
Since the band had previously worked with the label, the team offered strong support in song selection, licensing, and recording.
As a result, even though this was their first release under WeCord Evermore, they faced no major obstacles.
The band also felt that releasing an EP rather than a single made more sense.
They already had plans to extend the Salute project, and including five songs allowed them to explore more ideas.

Balancing Tribute and Identity
Sansan noted that the project carried the word salute for a reason.
While the songs had been rearranged to fit the Pee Wee Gaskins sound, the band still made sure to preserve the essence of the originals.
They added their own signature touch by weaving synthesizers through all five tracks.
It is creating a common thread that highlighted the band’s unique style.
For the band, this was not just a cover project.
It was a way to share the music that shaped their youth with a new generation of listeners.
Similarly, Dochi viewed the EP as a personal form of appreciation.
He reflected that these bands had inspired him from the very beginning of his musical journey.
Revisiting their works reignited his passion, and he felt proud to sing songs from the artists he considered heroes.
Beyond entertainment, he hoped that the EP would introduce Pee Wee Gaskins to listeners who had never heard their music before and help the band reach a wider audience.
With Salute from Pee Wee Gaskins: Putar Waktu Kembali, the band not only honor their influences but also mark their first release under a new label.
Each track is now available weekly from August 29 across digital streaming platforms.
For Pee Wee Gaskins, this is both a tribute to the past and a bold step into their future.
