The Funeral Portrait has officially entered a new chapter by releasing their debut live album, LIVE FROM SUFFOCATE CITY, via Better Noise Music.

This release follows their massive success in 2025, where Pandora named them one of the “Artists to Watch.”

The band certainly met those expectations.

They secured two #1 Active Rock singles on the Billboard and Mediabase charts with “Holy Water” and “Suffocate City.”

Currently, their latest hit, “Dark Thoughts,” sits comfortably in the Top 3.

A Cinematic Love Letter to Fans from The Funeral Portrait

Alongside the new album, the band premiered a cinematic music video for their track “Stay Weird.”

Frontman Lee Jennings described the song as a love letter to the unique souls who have supported the band since the beginning.

He noted that hearing the fans, known as The Coffin Crew, sing the lyrics back to them in Atlanta felt incredible.

According to Jennings, that night represented everything the band stands for, including individuality and the freedom to be oneself.

He expressed his excitement that the live album now allows the rest of the world to experience that specific energy.

Capturing the Chaos of Atlanta

LIVE FROM SUFFOCATE CITY invites fans to experience the catharsis of the band’s first “Town Hall Meeting.”

Recorded during a sold-out show at The Masquerade in Atlanta in 2025, the album captures the band’s legendary performance in their hometown.

The project is available on streaming platforms and in physical formats, including a CD/Blu-Ray set and a signature green-and-purple vinyl.

The exclusive Blu-Ray documents the raw emotion and high-energy anthems that have defined their rise to stardom.

Expanding the “Dark Thoughts” Era

Fans previously received a preview of this live energy through the DARK THOUGHTS EP released last August.

That EP featured the original track alongside a version with Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria and a fresh remix.

Visuals for these versions have already gained significant traction, with the live video for “Dark Thoughts” surpassing 34,000 views.

A Massive Tour Schedule Ahead for The Funeral Portrait

The year 2026 promises to be another landmark year for the group’s touring schedule.

After two special hometown shows in Atlanta this January, the band will join the “Alienation” tour.

Starting February 21, they will hit the road across the United States alongside Three Days Grace and I Prevail.

Fans can currently purchase tickets for all upcoming shows through the band’s official website.
