The Funeral Portrait closed a major chapter after scoring two No. 1 singles.
Those wins came through “Holy Water” with Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch.
They followed it with “Suffocate City,” featuring Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills.
On August 22, 2025, the band officially sent their new single “Dark Thoughts” to radio.
At the same time, they released a special EP titled Dark Thoughts through Better Noise Music.
The EP offers four different versions of the song, giving fans multiple ways to experience its message.
The EP opens with the original studio version of “Dark Thoughts.”
It then moves into the “Beyond The Abyss” remix.
The tracklist also captures the band’s energy through a live recording from their sold-out show in Atlanta.
Finally, the EP is rounded out by an exclusive collaboration with Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria.
Alongside the EP, the band also revealed two new music videos.
One presents “Dark Thoughts (Beyond The Abyss Remix)” in a darker visual form.
The other captures the raw intensity of “Dark Thoughts (Live From Suffocate City),” adding a powerful visual layer to the release.
