The Rasmus return after nearly a year of silence.
Back in October 2024, they released their single “Rest In Pieces.”
Now, the legendary Finnish rock band officially unveils its 11th studio album, WEIRDO.
The album marks their first release under Better Noise Music, in partnership with Playground Music.
It also signals a fresh phase in their long career.

The Rasmus and The Process of The New Album
Staying true to their identity, WEIRDO blends dark atmospheres with modern pop hooks and stadium-sized guitar riffs.
As a result, the album stands as a celebration for anyone who has ever felt different.
Frontman Lauri Ylönen explained that since the band formed in 1996, their core message has always remained the same: embracing individuality.
He reflected that being labeled a misfit or outsider once felt painful, but over time it became a source of strength.
According to him, those who dare to be different can help shape the future.
As a highlight, The Rasmus also released a music video for the title track “Weirdo,” featuring Lee Jennings from The Funeral Portrait.
Jennings described the song as an anthem for outsiders and shared that collaborating with The Rasmus felt like a dream come true.
He added that they are ready to hit the road together and represent all “weirdos” across Europe later this year.

A Surprise From The Album
WEIRDO also brings back several songs fans already know and love.
Tracks like “Love Is A Bitch,” “Break These Chains,” “Creatures of Chaos,” and “Rest In Pieces” all appear on the album.
Most of the tracks came together through close collaboration with legendary producers Desmond Child and Marti Fredriksen.
After that, the band recorded the album across Nashville, Finland, and London.
As a result, the songs carry a rich sound shaped by an international recording process.
Beyond the album release, The Rasmus are preparing to continue their global journey with the Weirdo Tour throughout 2025.
The tour already includes dates across Europe, the Middle East, and Mexico, before heading to Australia in early 2026.
Currently, WEIRDO and exclusive merchandise are available on all major digital music platforms and through the band’s official store.
