Have you listen to “Honey” by Cody Jon?
What if an ordinary night at a club suddenly turned into a scene straight out of a 2000s dance movie?
That’s the fantasy Cody Jon brings to life in his latest single, “Honey.”
“Honey” takes listeners back in time with its throwback Pop and R&B sound.
The track weaves in smooth touches of jazz and a hint of Old-Hollywood glamour.
Together, these elements create a vivid scene.
The rush of a fleeting romance unfolding under the glow of the dance floor lights.
It blurs the line between reality and imagination, creating a moment where anything feels possible.
Inspired by the thrill of Hollywood nights, the song tells the story of two strangers meeting by chance.
When others mistake them for a couple, they play along, surrendering to the magic of the moment.

Creative Process from Cody Jon and The Team
Cody blends Timbaland/Neptunes-style drums, cinematic strings, and jazzy horns to craft a sound reminiscent of early-2000s dance film soundtracks.
Fittingly, the title also pays homage to Honey, one of his favorite movies from that era.
The creative process behind “Honey” came with its own drama.
After recording was complete, the original file was accidentally deleted, forcing Cody and his team to start over.
He shared that it was heartbreaking at first, but the new version ended up feeling even more alive, as if it was meant to happen that way.
The single also features Oscar Sharah as co-producer, along with playful cameos from Cody’s friends in the bridge section, adding a fun, theatrical touch to the track.
As one of Australia’s most promising independent pop talents, Cody Jon has built a reputation for his signature nostalgic style.
Since his 2022 debut EP, which included hits like “dirty dancing” and “STAGEFRIGHT,” he has gained recognition from ELLE Japan, Triple J, and MTV.
His high-energy live shows have taken him to Tokyo, Austin, and Sydney, including standout performances at SXSW and BIGSOUND.
With “Honey,” Cody Jon once again proves himself as a rising global pop artist.
He doesn’t just make music to dance to.
He creates stories to fall in love with.
“Honey” is now available on all digital streaming platforms in Indonesia.
