Indonesia is gearing up for one of its most anticipated 2025 films, Rangga & Cinta.
Alongside its release, the film arrives with an equally awaited project: the Rangga & Cinta: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.
The album is a collaboration between Miles Films, Trinity Optima Production, Melly Goeslaw and Anto Hoed, and Aquarius Pustaka Musika.
It launches on digital music platforms on October 3, 2025, coinciding with the nationwide release of the film directed by Riri Riza.
The project also revives the beloved universe of Ada Apa Dengan Cinta? (AADC) for a new audience.
The soundtrack builds on the earlier release of the theme song “Rangga Cinta,” performed by Bilal Indrajaya and Eva Celia.
It also includes “Ingin Mencintai dan Dicintai,” sung by Leya Princy.
Leya is the new actress who plays Cinta in the film.
Because the world of AADC returns in this new film, the soundtrack once again features Melly Goeslaw and Anto Hoed as composers and producers.

The Making of New Rangga & Cinta Soundtrack
Producer Mira Lesmana said Melly felt deeply connected to AADC and treated this project with the same affection.
Since Rangga & Cinta reimagines AADC for today’s generation, the soundtrack blends refreshed arrangements of classic songs with a modern touch while retaining the emotional core of the originals.
Anto Hoed explained that recent musical influences helped shape the updated sound.
As a result, listeners will find indie-rock elements in “Kubahagia” or an electro-pop approach in “Di Mana Malumu.”
A key difference from the previous films lies in the stronger musical presence within the story.
Instead of Melly performing the vocals as she did for the original AADC soundtrack, the cast members now take on the songs themselves.
El Putra Sarira sings as Rangga, Leya Princy performs as Cinta, and young recording artist Rafi Sudirman voices Borne.
Rafi injects the right energy into “Truly, Madly, Deeply Hate You,” a guitar-driven track filled with distortion.
Leya shared that she felt excited to sing the iconic AADC tracks because she grew up with them and also performs a new song written specifically for the film.
Beyond reimagined classics, several original songs were created to support the story of Rangga & Cinta.
These include “Untuk Rangga” sung by Leya Princy and “Di Mana Cinta,” an interpolation of the iconic “Ada Apa Dengan Cinta?” performed by the Geng Cinta actresses: Kyandra Sembel, Jasmine Nadya, Daniella Tumiwa, and Katyana.
Some vocal recordings were captured during the filming process, requiring special treatment to match the emotional demands of each scene.
Mira Lesmana noted that the experience becomes more complete when audiences watch the film alongside its soundtrack.

“Rangga Cinta” as Main Theme Song
The soundtrack also features the theme song “Rangga Cinta,” performed by Bilal Indrajaya and Eva Celia, with music composed by Melly Goeslaw and lyrics developed by Melly and Mira.
Mira explained that the team wanted a theme song that truly represented Rangga and Cinta.
She said the idea continued the long-running tradition of duets in earlier AADC soundtracks.
Melly added that they chose Bilal and Eva because their contrasting vocal qualities fit the tone of the story.
With the arrival of Rangga & Cinta in theaters and digital platforms, the team hopes the film and soundtrack will earn a place in the hearts of audiences, just as the original AADC has for more than two decades.
Melly expressed the hope that the soundtrack and film remain inseparable.
So that hearing the music brings people back to the story, and watching the film inspires them to revisit the songs.
All tracks from the soundtrack are now available on digital streaming platforms, and the film is screening in cinemas across Indonesia.
