Belgian DJ and producer Dimitri Vegas (real name Dimitri Thivaios) takes a major step into the film world through the action movie Lukas.

The film was originally planned for a French release.

It also marks a key moment for Dimitri as he expands his acting career.

In Lukas, Jean-Claude Van Damme plays a bouncer who must work with Interpol to regain custody of his daughter.

The film features a strong supporting cast that includes Sveva Alviti, Sami Bouajila, Sam Louwyck, Kaaris, Kevin Janssens, Alice Verset, and Dimitri Vegas himself.

Dimitri appears as one of the key characters surrounding the tense criminal operation at the center of the story.

Dimitri Vegas and His Passion for Film

Dimitri’s involvement in the film comes after years of dominating the electronic music scene.

As one half of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, he has headlined the world’s biggest festivals, including Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, EXIT Festival, Electric Zoo NYC, and Creamfields.

He and his brother have also collaborated with top artists such as Diplo, David Guetta, Gucci Mane, and Snoop Dogg.

They also delivering official remixes for global names like Coldplay, Lady Gaga, and The Chainsmokers.

Their single “When I Grow Up” with Wiz Khalifa highlights how far the duo has pushed their sound.

Even with such a busy music schedule, Dimitri continues to explore his passion for acting.

Beyond his DJ career, Dimitri has steadily expanded his presence in film.

He recently appeared in Patser, the third feature by directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Falah, following earlier on-screen roles such as Safety First: The Movie.

He has also secured a part in George C. Romero’s upcoming Rise of the Living Dead, the follow-up to the iconic Night of the Living Dead.

His connection to cinema also extends to music production.

Together with Like Mike, he created a standout remix of Hans Zimmer’s “He’s A Pirate”.

The track appeared as a bonus track on Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge.

The brothers also produced the soundtrack for Patser, strengthening their link between music and film.
