Man Sinner opens this new chapter with a clear sense of purpose.
The Jakarta-based skatepunk band has officially released a new single titled “Bumi Menangis (Unplugged).”
The release did not come without reason.
It emerged as a direct response to the recent flash floods that hit Sumatra and Aceh.
Through this song, the band transforms music into a space for concern, reflection, and awareness.
Through this release, the band aims to raise awareness and encourage reflection on environmental responsibility.
The single arrives in two formats.
First, the official music video premiered on January 9, 2026, on Man Sinner’s YouTube channel.
Meanwhile, the audio version will follow on February 9, 2026, across major digital music platforms.
Man Sinner is formed by Achmad Alwan Damanik on vocals and guitar, Agga Satria Prabowo on guitar, Nero Riansyah on bass and backing vocals, and Agung Bahtiar on drums.
Over the years, the Jakarta-based band has built a reputation for delivering a high-energy sound.
Their music is often fast, loud, and driven by raw skatepunk intensity.
However, for this release, the band takes a different approach.
They slow down the tempo to help listeners focus more deeply on the message behind the lyrics.

Man Sinner Using Different Music Style
Achmad Alwan Damanik explained that the band hopes the song can invite listeners to reflect and take action.
He emphasized that real change begins with individuals before it spreads to others.
Originally released in 2020 as part of the album “Bumi Menangis,” the song now returns in an unplugged version.
The band decided to rearrange it because they believe the lyrics remain highly relevant to Indonesia’s current environmental conditions.
Agga Satria Prabowo shared that the lyrics highlight the importance of maintaining balance in nature and stopping excessive exploitation of the Earth.
He added that when humans fail to do so, nature will eventually restore balance through disasters that inevitably claim victims.
The message of the song grows even stronger through its music video.
The visuals move from scenes of flood disasters across Indonesia to images of forest exploitation.
Footage of land converted into palm oil plantations reinforces the warning, making the song’s meaning harder to ignore.
Nero Riansyah explained that this visual approach feels more effective in today’s landscape.
He noted that people now respond more strongly to what they see.
In the age of social media and constant digital exposure, visuals often speak louder than words alone.

Future Plan for The Band
Following the release, Man Sinner is scheduled to perform at several music events across the Jabodetabek area throughout January and February 2026.
At the same time, the band has postponed plans to record two new songs in order to fully focus on this project.
Agung Bahtiar noted that the work came together spontaneously after witnessing recent disasters, prompting them to shift priorities.
At the moment, the music video for “Bumi Menangis (Unplugged)” is already live on Man Sinner’s official YouTube channel.
Listeners can watch and absorb the message through its visuals right now.
Meanwhile, the audio version is set to follow, with its release scheduled across all major digital streaming platforms starting February 9, 2026.
