Zeke and The Popo step into a new phase with Ghost Circuit.
The release marks their return after more than a decade away.
At the same time, it reaffirms their desire to keep evolving and pushing their creative boundaries.
The release also points toward Crazy Life, a broader statement of where the band stands today and where they plan to go next.
Behind Zeke and The Popo
Behind the project stands Jonathan Pardede, who many previously knew as a member of the electronic trio Sunmantra.
He now releases music under the name Ugomo.
Beyond his role as a musician, he has also carved out a solid name as a producer.
Over the years, he has contributed to releases by bands like The Brandals and Dried Cassava.
In addition to his creative work, he also co-founded Anukara Records alongside Aradea Barandana and Robert Mulyarahardja.
Through the label, he takes an active role in curating and developing cross-disciplinary projects.
These collaborations have involved artists such as Ali, Tatjana Saphira, and Precious Bloom.

About Ghost Circuit
From a thematic point of view, Ghost Circuit reflects on the uncertainty of life.
The song explores the idea that no one can fully predict what lies ahead, while also accepting that life continues to move in cycles.
Yosaviano Santoso took the lead as the song’s main songwriter.
He shaped the lyrics from a deeply personal place.
The result is a reflective and honest narrative that balances feelings of unease with quiet acceptance.
Before its official release, the song had already reached audiences through a film placement.
Ghost Circuit also found a life beyond the music release.
The song appeared as a sync track in Legenda Kelam Malin Kundang.
The film was directed by Rafki Hidayat and Kevin Rahardjo.
It was produced by Come and See Pictures, the production company founded by Joko Anwar.
About the Artwork for Ghost Circuit
Visually, the single carries a strong identity as well.
Mellow Splice collaborated with Ovan Mustofa to create the artwork, translating the song’s dark and introspective mood into striking imagery.
Mellow Splice works as a Jakarta-based visual unit.
The collective was formed by photographer Moses Sihombing and videographer Hafizh Armynazrie.
Meanwhile, Ovan Mustofa adds his perspective as a multidisciplinary creative based in Bandung.
With Ghost Circuit, Zeke and The Popo do more than release a new song.
They signal a return, open a fresh chapter, and underline their ongoing commitment to growth and artistic exploration beyond familiar boundaries.
