Tuned Global Powers FanLabel SongPicks Launch

Tuned Global partnered up with FanLabel

Tuned Global is expanding its role in interactive music experiences through an enhanced partnership with FanLabel.

Together, the two companies have launched FanLabel SongPicks, a paid-entry app built around skill-based music contests.

Users compete by relying on their understanding of songs and streaming behavior.

The concept turns music knowledge into a dynamic form of participation.

The collaboration reflects a growing interest in creating deeper forms of fan engagement that extend beyond traditional streaming.

Tuned Global Extends Its Partnership With FanLabel

Tuned Global has announced another milestone in its long-running relationship with FanLabel.

The partnership, which began in 2021, now supports the launch of SongPicks, FanLabel’s newest consumer product.

Released in May 2026, SongPicks allows users to test how well they understand songs, streaming trends, and audience behavior.

Players participate in skill-based contests by ranking tracks, predicting their performance, and competing against others through leaderboard systems for cash prizes.

While FanLabel oversees the app’s operations and user experience, Tuned Global powers the licensed music ecosystem operating behind the scenes.

How Tuned Global Powers SongPicks

Tuned Global provides the infrastructure that enables SongPicks to function using licensed music content.

Tuned Global supports the platform through a broad range of operational functions.

It provides access to music metadata and audio previews, manages catalogue ingestion, and oversees content delivery services.

The company also maintains backend systems and reports music usage to rightsholders.

This technological foundation allows FanLabel to create interactive experiences without compromising the compliance requirements tied to licensed music.

The collaboration also highlights Tuned Global’s expertise in handling large-scale catalogue operations.

Through its automated ingestion system, INTAGA, the company previously transitioned FanLabel from its former music backend provider in just ten days.

During that process, it maintained access to millions of tracks from both major and independent record labels while supporting enriched metadata and territorial rights management.

According to Tuned Global Founder and Managing Director Con Raso, the company sees SongPicks as an example of how music technology can unlock entirely new forms of fan interaction.

Rather than limiting audiences to passive listening, the app encourages fans to actively participate by applying their understanding of songs and streaming trends.

Tuned Global’s contribution, he explained, lies in supporting the licensed music, metadata, and reporting infrastructure that allows these experiences to operate responsibly and efficiently.

How Tuned Global Supports Licensed Music at Scale

Beyond powering the app itself, Tuned Global also manages the reporting processes that support FanLabel’s music operations.

Each month, the company reports music usage to record labels, publishers, the Mechanical Licensing Collective, and performing rights organizations.

This infrastructure enables FanLabel to continue offering interactive music experiences while maintaining the operational standards expected by rightsholders.

For FanLabel, the reliability of that infrastructure played a significant role in extending the partnership to SongPicks.

FanLabel Founder and CEO Jeff Sloan said FanLabel believes SongPicks gives listeners a fresh way to interact with music.

The platform encourages users to discover new songs while deepening their connection with familiar favorites.

At the same time, it has the potential to support new monetization models across the industry.

He also noted that Tuned Global has successfully managed FanLabel’s backend music technology since 2021, making the decision to broaden the partnership a natural next step.

Expanding FanLabel’s Growing Ecosystem

SongPicks joins FanLabel’s expanding portfolio of music-focused products.

The company already operates FanLabel Classic, a free-to-play fantasy-style music challenge platform where users predict music outcomes to earn points, prizes, and status.

FanLabel is also developing FanLabel MusicMarkets, expanding its ecosystem into regulated prediction markets.

The platform will revolve around music-related data, including streaming numbers and chart results.

These objective indicators will serve as the foundation for user participation.

Together, these offerings reflect FanLabel’s broader ambition to sit at the intersection of music, gaming, data, and fan participation.

A New Direction for Music Experiences

Audience expectations continue to change as entertainment becomes more interactive.

Tuned Global and FanLabel’s collaboration reflects that momentum.

Together, they show how technology can reshape the ways fans connect with music.

By combining licensed music infrastructure with gamified competition, SongPicks transforms listeners into active participants.

It invites fans to test their instincts, engage more deeply with music culture, and interact with songs in ways that extend beyond traditional streaming.

In doing so, SongPicks points toward a future where music engagement becomes increasingly interactive, community-driven, and powered by innovation.
