SoundCloud and Twitch Launch SoundCloud Sessions

SoundCloud and Twitch partnership

SoundCloud and Twitch have partnered to launch SoundCloud Sessions.

The recurring livestream series is designed to help emerging DJs and creators reach wider audiences.

The initiative combines Twitch’s live streaming community with SoundCloud’s music discovery ecosystem.

It creates new opportunities for artists to grow before, during, and after each performance.

The series debuts with performances from Jessu, Conrad Taylor, DJ Ken Dollaz, and several other artists.

Beyond the livestreams, participants will receive continued support.

This includes editorial coverage, social media promotion, newsletter placements, and additional promotional opportunities across both platforms.

SoundCloud Expands Music Discovery Beyond Livestreams

Rather than ending once a broadcast finishes, SoundCloud Sessions aims to extend each artist’s visibility.

DJs will perform through Twitch’s DJ Program, where they can engage with audiences in real time and build communities around their music.

After each performance, SoundCloud will continue supporting participating artists through editorial features, newsletter coverage, and social amplification.

The approach gives emerging DJs a way to maintain momentum after introducing their music to new listeners.

The launch also reflects SoundCloud’s continued growth in electronic music.

According to the platform’s latest Music Intelligence Report, electronic music remains one of its fastest-growing genres worldwide.

The report also recorded a 39 percent year-over-year increase in #DJset, highlighting rising interest in full-length DJ performances and creator-led communities.

Strengthens Support for Independent Creators

SoundCloud CEO Eliah Seton said the partnership is designed to extend the reach of live DJ performances across digital platforms.

He explained that the partnership combines Twitch’s livestream experience with SoundCloud’s discovery tools.

The approach allows emerging artists to continue building audiences beyond a single performance.

The collaboration also reinforces platform’s long-standing focus on independent creators and developing music scenes.

While Twitch provides real-time audience interaction, SoundCloud gives listeners a place to revisit DJ mixes, discover new releases, and stay connected with the communities behind them.

As livestreaming becomes increasingly important for electronic music, SoundCloud Sessions offers a new model that connects live performance with long-term artist discovery.

The recurring series gives emerging DJs another pathway to grow their careers while strengthening the relationship between SoundCloud, Twitch, and online electronic music communities.
