Man Sinner has officially returned to Indonesia’s punk scene with its new single, “Kembali,” released on July 2, 2026.
The track marks the Jakarta skatepunk band’s first release after a hiatus that began in 2022.
The comeback also introduces Man Sinner’s latest lineup.
The band now features Achmad Alwan Damanik on vocals and guitar, Agga Satria Prabowo on lead guitar, Nero Riansyah on bass and backing vocals, and Agung Bahtiar on drums.
Man Sinner Begins a New Chapter
The current lineup brings renewed energy while preserving the band’s skatepunk identity.
At the same time, the band remains committed to writing songs that address social issues.
The band’s return also drew an immediate response from listeners.
Within just 36 hours of release, “Kembali” reached more than 3,000 listeners across digital streaming platforms.
The achievement highlights the band’s lasting appeal. It also shows that Man Sinner continues to attract new listeners while retaining its longtime fanbase.
Before unveiling “Kembali,” the band actively promoted its return through several major performances.
Man Sinner appeared at Jakalcer Festival 2026 in Ancol as part of Jakarta’s 500th anniversary celebrations.
The band also performed at Jakarta Fair 2026.
Those appearances served as more than promotional events.
They also signaled that the band was ready to reclaim its place in Indonesia’s punk scene.

“Kembali” Reflects the Band’s Journey
The new single mirrors the band’s own experience over the past few years.
Its lyrics explore falling, losing direction, and eventually finding the strength to move forward again.
As a result, “Kembali” serves as both a reflection on the band’s hiatus and a symbol of its determination to begin a new chapter.
According to vocalist and guitarist Achmad Alwan Damanik, the song represents Man Sinner’s journey.
He described it as a statement of perseverance and commitment to continue creating music.
He also emphasized the importance of the band’s loyal supporters, who continued waiting throughout the hiatus.
The group hopes the new release rewards their patience.
Man Sinner first gained wider recognition with its 2020 album, Bumi Menangis.
The 15-track album explored a range of social issues.
Highlights included “Hey Punkers,” “Bangkit dan Yakinlah,” and “Akhiri Perpecahan.” The latter featured Fyan of Rebellion Rose.
With “Kembali,” the band continues that narrative while taking a more personal and reflective approach.
Looking Ahead for The Band
Digital promotion played an important role in Man Sinner’s comeback.
Alongside live performances, the band released teasers and an official lyric video through streaming platforms and YouTube.
The strategy helped introduce the band to new audiences while strengthening its connection with longtime fans.
The band’s return has also generated fresh enthusiasm within Jakarta and Bekasi’s local punk communities.
Staying true to the DIY spirit of punk, Man Sinner continues to treat music as both creative expression and a platform for social commentary.
Man Sinner takes inspiration from international bands including Millencolin, NOFX, Rancid, Bad Religion, and Blink-182.
Even so, the band continues to preserve its local identity through stories rooted in Indonesian society.
“Kembali” is now available on all major digital streaming platforms, while its official lyric video can be viewed on Man Sinner’s YouTube channel.
