Last month, Three Angles Production and United Music Event confirmed that Transmission Festival will finally arrive in Jakarta. Known worldwide as one of the leading trance festivals, Transmission has hosted some of the biggest names in the scene. To get you ready, here are a few key facts about this iconic event.
1. Transmission Festival Started in 2006
Transmission first launched in Prague in 2006. That same year, the festival took place three times, beginning at T-Mobile Arena, then moving to Sazka Arena in 2007. Since 2008, it has found a permanent home at O2 Arena, where it continues to thrive.
2. Expansion Beyond Prague
The festival did not stay limited to Prague. Beginning in 2014, Transmission expanded across the globe. It has reached cities from Bratislava, Slovakia to Shanghai, China. In 2019, Jakarta becomes the latest city to join the lineup. Today, Transmission is held on three continents—Europe, Australia, and Asia.
3. Famous for Laser and Light Shows
Transmission has built its reputation on breathtaking visuals. The festival sets a global standard for laser and light shows, creating an atmosphere like no other. These spectacular displays enhance every DJ set, turning the music into a fully immersive experience.

4. Big Names on Stage
Over the years, Transmission has welcomed some of the most respected names in trance music, including Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, and Paul van Dyk. 5. The First Festival of 2019
Transmission Jakarta will take place on February 9, 2019, marking the very first music festival of the year in the city. It promises to be an epic opening for Jakarta’s 2019 festival season.
