After officially releasing the single “bERANI,” Kunto Aji has expanded the song’s journey through a special experience called “bERANI Update Kehidupan.”
The event recently took place at Buku Akik in Yogyakarta.
More than a celebration of the new release, the gathering invited participants to experience “bERANI” beyond the music.
It combined live performances, conversations, and interactive activities designed to leave a lasting impression.
Kunto Aji Creates an Intimate Space for Reflection
Designed as an intimate event, “bERANI Update Kehidupan” brought Kunto Aji and his listeners together in a more personal setting.
The organizers limited the event to just 25 participants. Everyone who joined also had to know the lyrics to “bERANI.”
The small format encouraged meaningful conversations. Participants shared personal stories.
They also reflected on their own life experiences together.

Blind Book Brings the Song to Life
One of the event’s exclusive features was the Blind Book, a book without any title or artwork on its cover.
The concept was inspired by the lyric, “Keep the book I gave you. It contains my biggest dreams.”
The Blind Book invites participants to discover their own interpretations of the story.
Each person also took home a piece of the “bERANI” journey that could continue long after the event ended.
Guests also received an exclusive bERANI x Buku Akik Zine, created specifically for “bERANI Update Kehidupan.”
Together with the Blind Book, the publication extended the narrative behind the single.
It encouraged continued exploration even after the music had stopped playing.
According to Kunto Aji, he wanted “bERANI” to exist beyond streaming platforms.
He hoped the song would continue through conversations, books, shared experiences, and meaningful connections between people.
More Cities Will Join the Journey
Yogyakarta marked the first chapter of the “bERANI Update Kehidupan” series.
The experience will continue in other cities.
Each event will provide another opportunity for people to pause, reflect on their lives, and continue the journey toward the universe of Kuda Hitam.
