DJ RIM Brings 39 Years of Experience to MotoGP Indonesia

DJ RIM, known as Indra, will bring nearly four decades of experience to the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026.

The event, also known as Race In Paradise, will take place at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.

The MotoGP weekend will run from October 9–11, 2026.

Alongside the racing action, Mandalika will host a series of live music performances throughout the three-day event.

DJ RIM will join several Indonesian acts on the entertainment lineup.

The performers include Judika, Happy Asmara, Tipe-X, Ungu, Niki Becker, Cross Over, and D’Masiv.

Returning to the Spotlight After 39 Years Behind the Decks

RIM’s appearance in Mandalika adds another chapter to a DJ career that has now spanned 39 years.

He began his journey behind the decks in 1987 at The Parrots.

Since then, he has performed at various venues across Indonesia.

His list of appearances includes B1, Cafe Automobili Lamborghini, Hangover Kemang, Hotel Borobudur, and Artesian The Langham.

His work has also extended beyond performing. RIM previously served as an A&R Label Manager at CMM under Musica.

He also formed the DJ team Turntable Orchestra and became involved with event promoter Elektra666.

His career later expanded into consultancy. He has worked with Cafe Del Mare Bali, GOODWILL Bar & Dine, Lufre, MIDAZ in Senayan, and MIDAZ Bali.

DJ RIM Has Shared the Booth With International Names

RIM’s musical style covers Disco Sound, House, and Techno Funk.

Across his career, he has also shared the booth with several prominent international DJs.

His list of fellow performers includes Louie Vega, Hernan Cattaneo, Peter Kruder, Kevin Saunderson, Sven Väth, Danny Howells, and Tiësto.

His contribution to Indonesia’s electronic music scene has also received industry recognition.

In 2007, RIM earned a nomination for Techno DJ Of The Year at the Ravelex Electronic Dance Music Awards (REDMA).

The same year, he was also nominated for Best DJ of The Year at the Paranoia Awards.

Heading Toward His 40th Year Behind the Decks

His performance at MotoGP Mandalika carries additional significance as he approaches another major career milestone.

The 2026 appearance will lead into next year’s celebration, when RIM will mark 40 years behind the decks.

He began performing in 1987 and is now set to appear at one of Indonesia’s biggest motorsport events.

The upcoming performance highlights his long-running presence in the country’s electronic music scene.
