The Indonesian Disc Jockey Association (PDJI) was founded in 1984 from the vision of the late DJ Krishyan Tandjung and Joineri “Bang Joi” Kahar.

Both pioneers shared the same dream: to elevate Indonesian DJs and establish DJing as a recognized profession.

Only two years later, in 1986, they launched the first-ever national DJ competition, the Indonesian Disc Jockey Festival (IDJF).

It was a milestone that officially marked the organization’s entry into the country’s DJ scene.

Almost forty years have passed since PDJI first began.

Today, PDJI remains more than just an association.

It has become a cornerstone of Indonesia’s DJ culture, a foundation that continues to support and inspire the scene.

Now, in 2025, the organization celebrates its 39th anniversary with a special event titled “Be As One”, held on September 28 at Lavva Lounge.

The anniversary is more than a celebration.

It also serves as a tribute to the pioneers who built and inspired the movement.

The lineup includes Sanny Djohan, Raymond, Iwan Bullebali, Djaitov Tigor, Yudy Doms, Jockie Saputra, Reynald, Ronny Sky, and Bintanxx Satria.

The organization now reaches its 39th year.

It is not just a number, it is a milestone built on decades of passion and perseverance.

With this anniversary comes a message that cannot be mistaken.

The culture must stay alive.

The community must remain united.

And the DJ movement must continue to grow, reaching further, inspiring new generations yet to come.
