The weekly music program Main-Main di Cipete Vol 40 returned on Monday night, January 26, 2026.

The event took place at Casatopia Cafe in Cipete, South Jakarta, starting at 7:00 PM.

This edition featured four main acts: Hayk’lana, Joy Monkey, Vanri, and Shyclops.

As usual, the independent music showcase brought together artists from different genres.

Once again, the night was guided by familiar faces.

Eno Suratno Wongsodimedjo and Qenny Alyanno returned as hosts.

Both remain deeply involved in Jakarta’s alternative music community, continuing to support and shape its creative movement.

The Performances at Main-Main Di Cipete Vol. 40

The evening opened with Hayk’lana, a promising new solo project.

She set the tone with her signature experimental approach, delivered through a minimalist performance built around acoustic guitar textures.

During her set, the young artist performed her debut single, Sukar, which had only recently been released.

Next, Joy Monkey took the stage with high-energy intensity.

The alternative punk unit from Cipinang, formerly known as Death Monkey, carried a raw and spirited presence.

The band recently released their single Terang in 2025.

That release became a key reference point for their set.

On stage, they used the moment to reflect themes of resilience and optimism, shaped by a long journey that has stretched back to 2006.

After that, Vanri brought a more intimate mood to the room.

Emerging from the Earhouse Songwriting Class community, the young musician presented an alternative pop sound with warm acoustic touches.

His 2025 single Forever Home became one of the most anticipated moments of the night.

Finally, Shyclops closed the event with a blend of new wave and dream pop.

Known for their eccentric visual identity, including the use of masquerade masks on stage, the band delivered a distinctive finale.

Their performance drew from past releases such as In Motion – Reel 1 and their collaboration with Joko In Berlin on the track Overthinking.

Overall, Main-Main di Cipete Vol 40 once again proved its consistency in presenting a diverse lineup.

In doing so, the program reaffirmed its role as one of the key creative hubs within Jakarta’s independent music landscape.
