Dee Lestari has completed the journey toward her third studio album with the release of (Jangan) Jatuh Cinta.

The album’s story began with the release of “(Jangan) Jatuh Cinta,” “Perahu Kertas,” and “Kabarku.”

Those singles laid the foundation for what was to come.

With the full album now available, Dee expands that narrative across eight songs centered on love, change, and emotional growth.

The album also features several notable collaborations. One of the highlights is “Cuma Satu Nama,” a duet with Afgan.

Dee wrote the song together with her late husband, Reza Gunawan.

Another standout track is “Hujan Bulan Juni,” which finally brings to life a long-awaited collaboration between Dee and the late Sapardi Djoko Damono.

Although the song was originally created for the 2017 film adaptation of Hujan Bulan Juni, it now finds its place as an official studio recording on the album.

The album title reflects a journey through the many emotions that accompany love.

Each song follows a carefully arranged sequence, allowing listeners to experience the highs, lows, uncertainties, and transformations of the heart.

Inside New Album from Dee Lestari

The opening track, “(Jangan) Jatuh Cinta,” serves as a gentle warning about the emotional journey ahead.

Produced by Rendy Pandugo, the song balances warmth and vulnerability while featuring supporting vocals from Teddy Adhitya.

It then flows into “Patah Hati,” a modern and dynamic production by Gala Yudhatama and Pandji Akbari, which captures the first experience of heartbreak that love inevitably brings.

The emotional descent continues with “Kabarku,” the album’s third track and previously released single.

The song represents the lowest point of the heart’s journey.

Produced by the collective Fellow Amateurs—consisting of Mikha Angelo, Yosua Gian, Geddi Jaddi Membummi, and Nathania S. Alexandra—the track blends soulful production with direct and relatable lyrics that have resonated strongly with listeners.

Hope begins to return in “Hujan Bulan Juni.”

Drawing inspiration from Sapardi’s celebrated poem, the song explores the complexity of love through a reflective and intimate atmosphere.

Composer Gardika Gigih shapes the arrangement with a live-session approach, while choir contributions from Barsena Bestandhi add depth and grandeur to the recording.

The fifth track, “Jadi Udara,” marks a brighter chapter in the story.

The song captures the moment when uncertainty finally gives way to clarity and connection.

Produced by Dimas Wibisana, the upbeat arrangement features backing vocals from Arina Ephipania as well as members of Dee Lestari’s management team, including vocal director Kamga Mo.

The result is an uplifting anthem that adds a fresh energy to the album.

Next comes “Perahu Kertas,” a song that reinforces the feeling of finally finding emotional stability.

Through a renewed arrangement by Petra Sihombing, the beloved track receives a fresh interpretation while preserving the qualities that made it one of Dee’s most enduring songs.

Songs with Emotions and Relationship

The emotional celebration reaches its peak with “Cuma Satu Nama.”

The song tells the story of two hearts ready to begin a new chapter together.

Dee performs the duet alongside Afgan, while Petra Sihombing returns as producer with an arrangement that feels elegant, timeless, and contemporary.

The album closes with “Bintang Utara,” a deeply moving reflection on unconditional love.

The song focuses on the universal relationship between parents and children.

As a child grows and eventually finds their own path, the heart learns a different lesson about love—one rooted in acceptance and selflessness.

Composer Lafa Pratomo supports the story with an orchestral arrangement that feels both intimate and hopeful.

Eighteen years after the release of Rectoverso, Dee Lestari returns to music with renewed confidence and artistic clarity.

Her unique position as a writer, singer, and songwriter shines throughout (Jangan) Jatuh Cinta.

Strong lyrics, sophisticated songwriting, mature vocals, and compelling storytelling come together to create an album that stands apart.

Through these eight songs, Dee offers listeners a collection of stories that feel deeply personal yet universally relatable, reinforcing her place as one of Indonesia’s most distinctive creative voices.
