After becoming known for her folk-pop releases as bungareyza, the singer is introducing a new artistic identity under the name Mingse.
She makes her debut with the hipdut single “Astaga Bercanda,” a collaboration with Bengkulu-based musician and producer Akbar Chalay.
The move into hipdut reflects her desire to explore new musical styles.
According to Mingse, she has always enjoyed trying different genres.
She also revealed that her mother introduced her to dangdut music from an early age, making the opportunity to record a hipdut song an easy decision.
Giant Prayash Trinanda, Nabil Adesya Putra, Aji Suherri, and Happy Andromeda wrote “Astaga Bercanda.”
The song tells the story of two people who develop feelings for each other.
However, one of them is already in a relationship.
Rather than becoming the third person in someone else’s love story, the song’s main character chooses to wait for the chance to become someone’s first choice.

Mingse Balances Two Musical Identities
To separate her new musical direction from her established career, Bunga adopted the name Mingse as a second artistic persona.
While bungareyza will continue focusing on thoughtful folk-pop music, Mingse will become the home for her hipdut projects.
The decision came after discussions with her team at Sony Music.
Instead of replacing one identity with another, she chose to develop both projects simultaneously while allowing each to represent a different musical style.
Although “Astaga Bercanda” marks her first hipdut release, Mingse described the recording process as surprisingly smooth.
She even found performing the genre easier than expected, joking that she has always had the soul of a dangdut singer.
Beyond the music itself, the singer also introduces a different image, performance style, and stage personality through this new project.
Even so, she emphasized that both Mingse and bungareyza will continue side by side without either persona replacing the other.
She hopes “Astaga Bercanda” will bring positive energy to listeners. The song features an upbeat rhythm that invites people to dance.
Its lighthearted lyrics also make it easy to enjoy.
The collaboration with Akbar Chalay became available on digital streaming platforms beginning May 8, 2026.
