French electronic duo Angara have released Before We Forget, a new single featuring London-based singer-songwriter bailey.

The track serves as the title song for their upcoming debut album, set to arrive on February 26, 2027, via Berlin-based label Embassy One.

The release marks another step in the duo’s creative journey with the label.

It follows their previous singles, Out at Sea and Forgive You, which explored different sides of their melodic electronic sound.

Built around euphoric grooves, immersive textures, and Angara’s signature melodies, Before We Forget blends emotional depth with a stronger sense of forward motion.

Its atmospheric and introspective sound evokes nostalgia and the fleeting nature of life.

Yet, the track retains the emotional intensity of a club-ready production.

Angara Finds an Emotional Starting Point in ‘Before We Forget’

Before We Forget was the first track Angara knew would feature on their debut album.

However, the duo did not use it as a blueprint for the rest of the record. Instead, the single became the emotional starting point for the wider project.

The song explores the presence of a loved one whom someone has never met.

This person exists through the stories others share, yet their presence continues to grow stronger over time.

That connection can inspire someone to carry on their legacy and make choices they hope would earn their approval.

For Angara, the song captures the experience of moving forward without knowing exactly what lies ahead.

From ‘Out at Sea’ to ‘Forgive You’

Before this release, the duo continued developing their sound through two singles on Embassy One.

The first was Out at Sea, released in late 2025 and featuring Austrian vocalist Ren Ocean.

Its cinematic production explored first love, freedom, and connection through glowing melodic layers and hypnotic percussion.

Earlier in 2026, they followed up with Forgive You.

Featuring a vocal sample from Estonian-Swiss singer and songwriter Ingrid Lukas, the track leaned further into club music.

Its driving groove explored reconciliation, emotional release, and the journey from tension to peace.

Together, these releases highlight the duo’s ability to balance introspective songwriting with the momentum of electronic dance music.

Angara is Exploring Identity and Change on the Debut Album

The upcoming Before We Forget album brings together three years of work.

Its tracks reflect different periods in the duo’s lives, creating a collection that moves between distinct emotional states.

The album does not follow a straightforward timeline. Instead, it explores the discovery of identity and the process of losing parts of oneself.

It also examines how people learn to live with what remains.

These experiences unfold in a non-linear sequence, reflecting how personal growth often happens in real life.

The duo see the album as a reflection of how people try to hold on to their sense of self while everything around them changes.

Its title emerged late in the process, when they recognized a shared theme running through the songs.

Building on Years of Electronic Music Exploration

Since their breakthrough Rwanda EP on Monstercat Silk in 2021, the French duo have accumulated more than 70 million streams worldwide.

They have also brought their immersive sound to stages across Europe.

Their debut album represents the culmination of years spent refining their approach to electronic music.

It also marks their most ambitious project to date, expanding on the emotional storytelling and melodic sound that have shaped their releases.

At its heart, Before We Forget explores the desire to preserve what matters before it disappears.

The album reflects the challenge of discovering who we are, losing parts of that identity, and finding a way to carry those experiences into the future.

The single Before We Forget by Angara and bailey is out now via Embassy One. The debut album Before We Forget arrives on February 26, 2027.
