MXGPU is a collaborative project by Portuguese producers Moullinex (Luís Clara Gomes) and GPU Panic (Guilherme Tomé Ribeiro).

The duo have released their new single, Lagged Out, via Discotexas.

The track follows September’s All The Love and explores a more minimal approach to melodic house.

Built for peak-time dancefloors, Lagged Out combines fast rhythms with a stripped-back production style.

The duo created the track with their hybrid live sets in mind, adding another dimension to the sonic world introduced on their debut album, Sudden Light.

The release arrives as MXGPU continue to explore new ways to present electronic music through immersive live performances.

Their recent projects have placed audiences in unusual settings, turning architectural spaces into part of the musical experience.

Their performance film, Live Over Porto, captures this approach at Primavera Sound Porto in June 2026.

Filmed in a single take, the duo performed on a triangular structure suspended above the festival’s main-stage dancefloor.

The elevated setup allowed the audience to gather beneath and around them.

Taking Electronic Music Underground in Lisbon

On October 10, MXGPU brought their Live Under Lisbon concept to Hidden Metro Olaias.

The sold-out event transformed a hidden metro space into a temporary club, with more than eight hours of music.

The lineup featured Adriana Ruas, Isadora performing live, Madd Rod, Sainte Vie performing live, and MXGPU’s own live set.

The event continued the duo’s exploration of how architecture and unusual locations can shape the relationship between performers and audiences.

MXGPU have previously taken their performances to distinctive locations, including a setup above the Tagus River in 2025.

Their appearance at Primavera Sound Porto further developed this approach, placing the audience at the center of an unconventional stage design.

MXGPU Bring Their Live Show to Amsterdam

MXGPU are also scheduled to perform at Gardens of Babylon’s The Seekers of Light during Amsterdam Dance Event on Sunday, October 25.

The event takes place at WestWeelde, where the duo are set to play from 20:30 to 22:00.

The performance adds another stop to their international schedule as they continue to bring their hybrid live format to different audiences and venues.

Building on the World of Sudden Light

Released in September 2025 through Discotexas, Sudden Light established the creative foundation for MXGPU’s evolving sound.

The album followed their earlier project, Innerchild, and later received a deluxe edition featuring remixes by Xinobi, JOPLYN, and Sam Shure.

The duo have also released music through labels including Crosstown Rebels, Watergate, Get Physical, TAU, and Discotexas.

Their breakout Rwanda EP, released on Monstercat Silk in 2021, helped expand their international reach.

Since then, their music has accumulated more than 70 million streams.

MXGPU have performed at festivals such as Primavera Sound and Tomorrowland, as well as at Amsterdam Dance Event.

Their touring history spans Europe, Asia, North America, and South America.

The music has also received support from artists including Chris Lake, Damian Lazarus, Jamie Jones, Keinemusik, LP Giobbi, RÜFÜS DU SOL, and WhoMadeWho.

Their work has appeared on platforms and media outlets such as Ableton, EARMILK, KCRW, Triple J, and SiriusXM’s Diplo’s Revolution, alongside playlist support from Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.

With Lagged Out, MXGPU continue to develop their sound while keeping the dancefloor at the center of their work.

The single reflects their broader creative direction.

It combines minimal production and melodic house with live experiences shaped by their surroundings.
