Markus Schulz continues his solo journey with the In Search of Sunrise series through its latest chapter, “Nirvana.”

The upcoming mix offers a broad selection of emotionally charged trance and progressive electronic music.

As with previous installments, Schulz carefully blends the material into a seamless journey.

In Search of Sunrise 22 will feature more than 50 tracks from artists and producers shaping the electronic music landscape in 2026.

Markus Schulz Builds a Journey Through Emotion and Melody

“Nirvana” moves through expressive harmonies, vivid textures, and the steady energy that defines trance.

The mix is designed for long nights when melody and rhythm become closely connected.

The project also continues the series’ tradition of musical discovery.

Schulz brings together established names and emerging artists to create a diverse listening experience.

The lineup includes music from Giuseppe Ottaviani, HI-LO, Kryder, Kyau & Albert, and Daniel Wanrooy.

Newer names such as Dream A Lot, Arctic Barbers, Nemke, and Aeridan also join the journey.

A Mix of Exclusive Music and New Collaborations

One of the early highlights is “A Place Where We Are One,” a collaboration between Schulz and Dream A Lot duo Gus Crawford Collins and Kim Hayden.

The track introduces a vocal-driven moment to the mix.

The compilation also features several exclusive Markus Schulz originals.

Among them is “Love in Every Tense,” which adds a more dramatic and emotional dimension to the journey.

Music from Schulz’s Coldharbour circle also plays an important role.

KhoMha contributes the exclusive “Ananke,” while ALAT joins Schulz for “Flashpoint.”

Mike EFX also returns to the series with his rework of “First State,” a 2005 classic.

His previous contributions include reworks of Andain’s “Beautiful Things” and Rex Mundi’s “Opera of Northern Ocean.”

Markus Schulz Highlights an Emotional Moment

Another standout is “A Breath to Hold,” a collaboration between Elevation and Daxson.

The track carries particular emotional significance for Daxson following his surgery earlier this year.

Its placement gives the mix a more personal moment. It also reflects the emotional storytelling that remains central to the In Search of Sunrise series.

New Versions Add the “ISOS” Touch

Schulz also revisits several tracks to give them a sound that fits the identity of In Search of Sunrise.

These productions receive additional melodic and harmonic elements that reshape their original character.

Among them are Daniel Wanrooy’s “Burned,” Kryder’s “Pulse of Hearts,” and Kyau & Albert’s “Halo.”

These new versions help connect the individual tracks while maintaining the cohesive flow of the overall mix.

“In Search of Sunrise 22” Keeps Its Emotional Core

For Schulz, the emotional connection between music and personal memories remains at the heart of In Search of Sunrise.

Certain melodies can become linked to specific places, people, or moments, allowing listeners to revisit those feelings years later.

That idea shapes Nirvana as Schulz explores music designed to create lasting memories.

The mix continues the series’ focus on emotional melodies while introducing new artists, collaborations, and exclusive material.

Nirvana combines trance energy, progressive textures, emotional songwriting, and exclusive productions.

It adds another chapter to the evolving In Search of Sunrise story.
