Karawang-based post-hardcore band People Sweet has released the lyric video for their latest single, “Final Destination.”
Before the official release, People Sweet took a different approach. They skipped traditional stages.
Instead, they introduced the track through virtual performances on Roblox, creating a simpler and more digital experience.
Rather than using physical stages, they chose digital spaces to connect with listeners.
The rollout included events such as Synerblox, Stout and Stone, a multi-map charity event with Digital Hands Collective, Underground Hysteria v2, and Selasar Collective.
Through this strategy, the band reached a wider audience and showed how online platforms are becoming part of the modern music landscape.
Bassist Almah shared that performing on Roblox felt enjoyable and opened opportunities to discover bands from different cities that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Initially, the band shared “Final Destination” exclusively within the Roblox community under Bvckle Smiggle Synthesis.
Now, the track is officially available as a lyric video on YouTube, released on April 13, 2026.
The visual presentation stays true to their identity, combining aggressive elements with a subtle “sweet” aesthetic.
Exploring Themes of Time and Mortality
“Final Destination” centers on themes of death, time, and accountability.
The concept draws inspiration from imagery related to the end of life and the Day of Judgment in the Qur’an.
Through this lens, the song reflects both fear and awareness. The fear of being unprepared, and awareness that time continues to move forward.
The narrative builds a picture of collapse and revelation, where everything comes to an end and every action is revealed.
Beyond that, it captures a personal emotional state marked by anxiety, uncertainty, and a sense of being stuck.
Vocalist Ekal explained that while some listeners may interpret the song as being solely about death, he sees it as a realization that one may not be truly living.
He also shared that he wrote the track during a period when he felt trapped, often chasing validation while postponing things that truly mattered.

A More Focused Musical Direction from People Sweet
From a musical standpoint, the track shows a more refined approach.
It blends aggressive guitar work with layered arrangements, creating a dynamic structure that shifts throughout the song.
The production process took place at JFHPRODS, with lyrics written by Ekal and Muhammad Taufik Maulana, while Trisna and Taufik handled composition.
Anggar Menyan created the artwork, and Dikri Assidiqi (Mamangco) produced the visuals.
People Sweet is Continuing to Evolve
Since forming in 2015, People Sweet has gradually shaped its sound.
The band began with a more pop-punk direction in earlier releases like “Memori Kelam.”
Over time, they moved closer to their post-hardcore roots.
This shift became clearer with “Trauma” in 2024, followed by “Parade Ego” in 2025, which brought wider recognition.
Now, People Sweet moves forward with its current lineup.
Ekal handles vocals, Trisna plays guitar, Almah takes care of bass, and Doyok sits behind the drums.
With this formation, the band feels more solid. Their direction becomes clearer, and their identity sounds more defined than before.
A Message About Time
In the end, “Final Destination” reflects on the nature of time, how limited it is and how easily people overlook its value.
The single is now available on Bandcamp, while the lyric video can be viewed on the band’s official YouTube channel.
