New collaboration from RACH? is here!
Sony Music Indonesia and Sony Music Japan are continuing their cross-border collaboration with a new single titled Call It Love.
The project follows the success of Swipe Kanan Kiri, performed by Sisca Saras and NeCome (Ayaka Yasumoto).
This time, Indonesian singer RACH? joins Japanese singer-songwriter and producer idom for a multilingual collaboration.
Call It Love blends hipdut, R&B, and pop while featuring lyrics in Indonesian, Japanese, and English.
The song showcases a fresh musical approach that combines local influences with a global sound.
A Cross-Cultural Collaboration
The collaboration began when Sony Music Indonesia approached RACH? in February about a joint project with Sony Music Japan.
She admitted she was surprised to learn that idom had personally chosen her as his collaborator.
The Indonesian singer said she immediately saw the project as an exciting challenge.
While idom is known for his pop and R&B sound, her debut single leaned toward electronic and experimental music.
However, her passion for exploring different styles encouraged her to accept the opportunity.
Call It Love marks RACH?’s second single following Dopamine, which she released under the name Rachel Cia on December 5, 2025.

Inspired by Love in a Digital World
Despite coming from different musical backgrounds, the creative process moved quickly.
During a two-day songwriting workshop, the team completed the song within just a few days.
Producer f4dli, who is known for creating several viral hipdut songs, also contributed to the arrangement.
RACH? developed the original concept for Call It Love.
She imagined two people meeting inside a video game and questioning whether the feelings they shared were genuine or simply part of a digital fantasy.
She said idom immediately liked the idea. He later wrote the lyrics, while Fadly handled the arrangement from start to finish.
RACH? described the song using three words: fantasy, digital, and long-distance relationship.
She hopes listeners who are separated by distance or circumstances can relate to the story while embracing the emotions it portrays.
A New Chapter for RACH?
Through Call It Love, RACH? hopes to introduce a fresh interpretation of hipdut.
She said the song may sound different from traditional hipdut because it blends Indonesian, Japanese, and English influences.
Even so, she believes it still maintains its local identity while appealing to a wider international audience.
RACH? believes Call It Love suits many occasions.
Its upbeat rhythm and lighthearted atmosphere make it perfect for driving, creating TikTok videos, starting the day, or relaxing before sleep.
The release became even more special when RACH? and idom performed Call It Love live together for the first time.
They took the stage at Billboard Live Tokyo 2026 on July 18.
For her, the collaboration represents an important milestone in her young music career.
RACH? hopes this project will lead to more collaborations in the future.
She would also like to work with Indonesian artists such as Feast and Agrikulture, along with international acts like Hayley Williams of Paramore and DPR IAN.
Call It Love has been available on major digital streaming platforms since July 19, 2026.
