The International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) will return to the Winter Music Conference in 2026.
This reunion brings together two of the most established institutions in electronic music during Miami Music Week.
Organizers have already unveiled the nominees, covering both artist and industry categories.
The announcement sets the stage for what comes next.
Soon after, the newly formed IDMA Advisory Board stepped in to begin the voting process.
Through this stage, they will determine who takes home this year’s honors.
The awards first launched in 1985 alongside the early years of WMC.
Since then, they have recognized key contributors across the global dance music scene.
These include artists, producers, labels, festivals, clubs, media platforms, and industry leaders who continue to shape the culture.
The 2026 edition marks a return to its roots while reinforcing its role in celebrating excellence across the entire ecosystem.

This structure reflects the diversity and global reach of electronic music today.
The team selected nominees through a detailed evaluation process.
They worked closely with members of the Advisory Board and reviewed data from industry publications, charts, streaming platforms, festival lineups, and touring activity.
They also considered broader cultural and commercial impact.
In addition, Advisory Board members contributed write-in nominations, helping balance data-driven insights with industry expertise.
A panel of respected professionals determines the winners.
The Advisory Board includes managers, agents, promoters, label executives, and other key figures in the industry.
This peer-based approach strengthens the credibility of the awards and ensures that recognition comes from those actively shaping the scene.
Organizers will announce the winners during a special Bridges For Music x IDMA reception at WMC on Thursday, March 26.
The event will gather artists, nominees, and industry leaders for an evening that celebrates achievement across the global electronic music community.
