Tomorrowland Reports Two Consciencia Paintings Stolen

Stage of Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland has confirmed that two original paintings were stolen during the festival’s opening weekend in Belgium.

They commissioned the artworks for its 2026 Consciencia theme.

The incident has drawn attention from both organizers and festivalgoers.

Tomorrowland commissioned the missing artworks as part of a special exhibition for this year’s festival.

Tomorrowland Seeks Return of Missing Artwork

The stolen paintings are titled Love and Desire.

The organizer commissioned six original artworks and displayed them inside the Tomorrowland Restaurant. Love and Desire are two of them.

Each painting represents one of the six universal emotions behind the Consciencia theme.

The remaining four works, Wonder, Anger, Joy, and Sadness, remain on display.

The organizer said someone stole the paintings despite security personnel monitoring the surrounding area.

Tomorrowland is asking whoever took the paintings to return them so visitors can experience the complete exhibition during the second festival weekend.

Debby Wilmsen expressed hope that whoever took the paintings would recognize they belong at Tomorrowland, where everyone can enjoy them.

Consciencia Theme Centers on Six Universal Emotions

The paintings are part of Consciencia, the newest creative world of festival.

This year’s theme explores six universal emotions through art, architecture, and storytelling across the festival grounds.

The organizer commissioned the artworks to extend the Consciencia concept beyond the mainstage.

They offer visitors another way to experience the festival’s creative vision.

For more than two decades, Tomorrowland has built each edition around a unique theme with its own visual identity, characters, and mythology.

Consciencia continues that tradition and is expected to appear at future Tomorrowland festivals outside Belgium.

Although the paintings represent only a small part of the festival experience, they commissioned them specifically for the 2026 edition.

Because of that, they cannot simply be replaced with other artwork.

Their disappearance leaves the Consciencia collection incomplete for guests visiting the Tomorrowland Restaurant.

At the time of writing, Tomorrowland has not confirmed that the paintings have been recovered.

The organizers also have not released additional details about the incident.

They are urging whoever took the artworks to return them before the second festival weekend begins.
